Describe your business in a few words.

The company has a head office in Calgary employing 7 people. I am the Edmonton face of the company enabling easy access to our Edmonton clients. We are construction cost consultants working for public and private sector clients on a variety of construction projects ranging from schools and hospitals to high rise condominiums. We have two main functions; Cost Planning, which involves estimating construction costs as the design develops from early concept stage, through the design development and up to pretender; Project Monitoring through the construction process, often on behalf of banks who are financing the project.

What inspired you to start your business?

I was offered the opportunity to start up the Edmonton operations for the company and like the way the company operates.

One interesting or fun fact about you or your business.

Our profession is called Quantity Surveying, but as nobody knows what that is, Construction Cost Consultant is a better way of explain ourselves.

Biggest lesson you’ve learned since starting your business.

Take the opportunity when it arises.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

Walking and gardening.

Favorite thing about coworking:

Friendly atmosphere, quirky decorations.

How would you describe coworking to somebody?
