Describe your business in a few words.

We join small to midsize companies as equity partners. We then help them overcome traditional hurdles faced by growing businesses.

What inspired you to start your business?

We had been big business folks for many years.

7 or 8 years ago, we were dabbling into some small business investments. We learned that small business challenges are the same as big business challenges, just in a simpler and more solvable scale.

When we took a step back, we thought to ourselves, "we've already made all these mistakes, why don't we do something good with what we learned for these businesses."

One interesting or fun fact about you or your business.

You need to work pretty hard to find S8C online or in the media, but I bet you engaged with one or more of our companies today.

Biggest lesson you’ve learned since starting your business.

There are more opportunities than you realize that pass you by each day, so keep your mind open and stay curious.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I have 3 small daughters, so mostly just dance parties in my family room.

Favorite thing about coworking:

Flexibility to work in an environment conducive to collaboration.

How would you describe coworking to somebody?

Coworking spaces are the places you go to do work and meet other like minded professionals when your daughters' dance parties start getting in the way of your conference calls.
